ARTERIMPEX Ltd 100% privately company owned by Benedek family was founded in Gheorgheni, Harghita County, since 1994.

The company started its activity in the field of food industry in 2003, when was purchased the abattoir from Gheorgheni. The abattoir was founded in1965, and over time has acquired and perfected various meat processing methods including the traditional products ones. The recipes and methods of production of traditional products have been taken and preserved carefully so that nowadays these manufacture products are produced at industrial level in conditions of maximum food safety.

In the old location the company's development, was limited by the given infrastructural conditions, thereby, in 2009, following an investment of over 50 million euro, the new meat processing factory was inaugurated, with a capacity of over 20 tons a day. The production unit has a surface of over 2400 m2 and it is equipped with last generation meat processing machinery and installation which allow the monitoring of technological parameters and the production of high quality products, in conformity with UE standards. The factory owns sanitary-veterinary authorization and has implemented the quality management system SR EN ISO 22000:2005 and HACCP.
